Brooklands Museum

I met up with some other artists in the Plein Air group this morning at Brooklands Museum. Plenty to look at but some difficult scenes to paint. I chose one of the trickiest.

I liked the jumble of planes, all different sizes, all crossing each other, with the famous track banking in the background. A very enjoyable morning.

Vienna Sketches

On a wonderful long weekend to Vienna with friends I managed to find time to sketch.

The first was in Maria-Theresien-Platz, with the Natural History Museum as a backdrop. The statue is of Empress Maria Theresa

The second is in the Gardens of the Schönbrunner Schloss, showing its magnificent fountains and statues, with the Gloriette on the hillside.
